It is not just a sentence to read but to experience… sometimes we think about things that didn’t happen or could have happened but the nice thing just happened. I have gone through a similar one couple of days back and that was in front of me and my thoughts all the time, until I read this article in the newspaper..

Tears rolled over non-stop ignoring the folks around watching me… No doubt, it definitely washed away the unnecessary worries or thoughts I had at least on that day.

“Sue Do is a great example of someone who focuses on abilities and not disabilities” – is that magic line in the mercury news on that day… pl. read the great gesture by the Walgreens employees and the impact it made on Sue Do’s life!

coming back here is always inspiring !

I know I was away for months and it is a break I took consciously to focus into other areas.. But glad to get back here and start sharing my ideas… only change going forward would be that I don’t plan to write daily but whenever I feel like !

Real warm welcome @ Delhi

People warned me about the hot weather in Delhi during summer days and this time I had an opportunity to feel it… It was 9pm when my flight arrived at Delhi airport and due to construction work, we need to get down in the middle of the airport to get transported to the terminals via bus… the moment I walked out of the doors from the flight, it was a blow of real HOT air (like straight from furnace) and I assumed it came from the propellers in the wing. But I was proved wrong as the intensity of heat went up when I touched the ground.

Yet, it was surprising to see those smiley (airline) ground assistants receiving us – they must have been there the whole day in that hot weather serving thousands of passengers (like me), who worry about the short exposure of this heat. When we complain about many things about the airlines and their staff, pl. think for a moment the pain and suffering the ground staff go through – doesn’t matter whether it is HOT (120 deg F) or COLD (sub-zero deg F)..

Later I was told that the temperature in the daytime went up to 46 deg C (115 deg F) on that day ! Bravo ground staff !

” My son is a winner”, “My daughter is brilliant”… if this is how you look up on your kids they will become the one you wished for… however, they can go to the other end every time based if you look at them differently… even if you think that way, the effect on them will be bad.. I have seen so many of them and even experienced at my home few times.. our thoughts turn into actions to help or derail the kids.. it is so important that you think positively on them and visualize their success in every attempt they do / take… you won’t believe it but they will feel it..

The Best experience in a consulate ! You will love it…

Applying for a Visa in any consulate is what I call as a ‘total experience’… browsing their website — understanding the basis requirements, — downloading all the necessary forms, — scheduling appointments — driving or flying down to the consulate — applying all the necessary documents (and typically we will miss one key item to bring !) — standing in the line to get a Visa ! it is a whole marathon and I am sure few of you might have lucked out and many not…

Here everything was so clear and easy… from the time I walked into the consulate, it took just 45 mins to get my VISA stamped in my passport. Simple questions, straight forward verification, finger printing, pay the amount – all in one window in 15 mins.. I have been asked to wait for 15 to 30 mins… your visa is in your hand !

I have applied visa in many consulates in the past 10 years and never had such a smooth experience.. every one starting from the security person was so courteous and nice..

I didn’t dream this experience… really felt it @ Consulate of France in SFO !!

What pulls your friend’s attention – Sadness or Happiness?

We typically share everything with our friends – they do jump in without you asking them to help us out.. while these are all true, my experience so far reveals that the feeling of sadness is what attracting more friends quickly and immediately… consoling someone takes precedence than sharing a joyful moment. Support pours in from all corners as and when them know about your suffering… the comfort we get out of those nice words – even it might be the same typical words, it touches our heart and gives a warm hug. I am not wishing for any bad news to anyone but if you see one, you know what you need to do…
